Denne blir mottatt av en nærliggende mottakerstasjon (iGate) som sender pakkene videre over Internett. Systemer tilknyttet Internett kan sende informasjon over APRS-IS uten radiosender, eller samle og vise informasjon sendt fra hvor som helst i verden.
